During
the year the young person will be guided to discover
their passion and calling in life; each individual will
be encouraged to find their life’s goal. Through
guidance, prayer, reflection and mentoring, many opportunities
for discovery will define this year.
Discipleship
This
is to be a year away from the pressures and burdens
of life. Through participation in classes, chapel, outreaches
and mission trips, young people will be challenged to
a close walk with Jesus. Knowledge of the Person, works
and Word of God will be central to this as young persons
learn from each other, mentors and lecturers; theory
and practice will be equally balanced, as will work,
study, and plenty of fun, sports and recreation.
Destiny
At
the end of this year, the goal is to release young persons
into their future of ministry for the Lord, either in
a full-time capacity as missionaries, Christian educators,
or Church leaders, or as “salt and light”
in the Universities and work forces of the nations of
Africa and the world. This is to be a year of life-changing
decision to move forward for Christ Jesus.
